Wise Township Home Invasion Suspect Pleads Guilty to Driving on Suspended License

Wise Township in Isabella County was the scene of a recent home invasion allegedly committed by a Mount Pleasant man, Blake Ryan Ketner. Ketner was arrested on October 12, but pleaded guilty to driving on a suspended license four days prior. Ketner was on probation and the offense was a violation of his probation, according to Isabella County Prosecutor Risa Scully. He was charged on October 8th and sentenced that same day.

Ketner was involved in an armed standoff with police following the home invasion. 29-year-old Ketner was holed up in a home in Wise Township, located at 8690 N. Wise Road. News reports state that Isabella County Emergency Services team members made contact with Ketner, and that the alleged suspect was taken into custody just before 9 p.m. on Friday evening, October 12. Isabella County Sheriff Leo Mioduszewski was also at the scene. Ketner was charged with larceny of firearms, assaulting or resisting a police officer, assault with a dangerous weapon, first-degree home invasion and a felony firearms charge.

Multiple traffic tickets, filing false police reports, driving on a suspended license, breaking and entering, and domestic violence are a few of the offenses Ketner has been accused of in his long criminal history in Isabella County. While driving on a suspended license is likely the least of Ketner’s worries at the current time, it isn’t for most people.
